Named for the healing powers of the emerald, the Emerald Ball was established to honor the caring staff at Pluta Cancer Center and to raise funds to support our mission. As the Foundation’s signature event, the Emerald Ball has raised over $4 million since its inception, which supports our patients and their families. Some of these funds have been used to cover unexpected medical expenses, support program initiatives, expand and enhance our current integrative oncology programs, and provide support specialized training and engagement for Pluta employees.

The Très Chic Fashion Show luncheon is held annually just before the holiday season. Guests can kick off their holiday shopping at the Très Chic Boutique, which features local vendors with great items that make wonderful gifts. Pluta patients are the highlight of the fashion show. The show also features children of Pluta patients and staff. The proceeds from the fashion show benefit the Women's Fund, which supports women who are facing financial, social and emotional hardship due to their cancer diagnosis.Read More
Tree of Hope Lighting Ceremony
Pluta Cancer Center Lobby
Dec 12, 2016
5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
During the holiday season, the Pluta Cancer Center lobby is home to our Tree of Hope, which welcomes patients and their families with good cheer and twinkling lights. Ceramic medallions are hung on the tree, displaying the names of loved ones who have had a donation made in their honor or memory. The Foundation holds an intimate tree-lighting ceremony each year to honor, remember and celebrate the special people in our lives.
People find all kinds of creative and inspiring ways to give—such as raising money through golf tournaments, jewelry parties, barbecues and staff basketball games. The event team would be happy to work with you and your organization to plan a third-party event to benefit the Foundation.
