Who We Are
Foundation Team

Jamie Bishop
Executive Director
Jamie came on board as Chief Financial Officer of the Pluta Cancer Center in 2011 and became Executive Director of the Pluta Cancer Center Foundation in 2013. He has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from SUNY Oswego and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Rochester. Jamie, his wife Brandi, and their three girls enjoy spending time together as a family, camping, playing/coaching soccer and golf.
“It truly is a privilege and a blessing to be able to work for such a wonderful organization. Every day I get to see the wonderful work that the Pluta care team does. There is not a day that goes by that a patient does not stop me to share a story.”

Annie Murphy
Associate Director of Development
Annie was first introduced to the Pluta Cancer Center when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017. Although this was a very difficult time, she found so much comfort in the compassionate care she received from the Pluta Team. When she saw an opening at the Foundation, she applied without hesitation and it didn’t seem to be a coincidence that her start date was two years to the exact date of her diagnosis. When Annie was undergoing treatment, she benefitted from many of the programs that are offered to patients in Pluta’s Integrative Oncology & Wellness Center. She firmly believes that massage, meditation and yoga were an integral part of her recovery process. Annie is honored to be a part of a team that makes these programs available to patients free of charge.
As Development Coordinator, Annie focuses her time on grants, donor cultivation and writing. Outside of work, Annie loves spending time with her husband (Mike) and daughter (Frances). She enjoys hiking, live theater and connecting with other cancer survivors. Annie is so proud to be a part of the Pluta Team.

Becca Templeton
Development & Program Assistant
Becca joins the Foundation with almost ten years of experience working at Sage Rutty & Company, a financial firm, where she focused on their database and various administrative tasks. She decided to completely switch job roles and became a Phlebotomist for the University of Rochester. With the desire to make an impact in people's lives and when she saw the job posting for the Foundation she believed the combination of her job background would be the perfect match.
Since day one, I have been amazed at the positivity, compassion, and joy that Pluta radiates towards every single person that walks through our doors. My biggest dream has been to find a career where I love going to work each day and Pluta has made that dream come true. When I'm not at work you can find me with my family, outside on a grand adventure, capturing memories with my camera, or traveling to broaden life's perspectives. My favorite quote is "start each day with grateful heart" and working at Pluta has filled my heart.

Zachary Forbes
Event & Community Coordinator
Zachary joins the Pluta Team with five years of experience as an event coordinator and fundraiser. He is excited to be able to come to work every day knowing he can make a difference in someone’s life when they really need it. Zachary enjoys being able to walk through the Cancer Center and see how the funds raised through the Pluta Cancer Center Foundation impact the lives of patients.
As Event & Community Coordinator, Zachary focuses his time on strategic planning and overseeing all tasks related to the event planning process for all Pluta Cancer Center Foundation events and community fundraisers. Outside of work, Zach loves spending time with his pug, Tini-Tot. He enjoys camping, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
